CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT REGISTER

The indispensable standard work for construction machinery and equipment in the construction process

The CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT REGISTER (BGL) is the world's most comprehensive catalogue for all common types and sizes of construction machinery and equipment. It serves as a central source of information and provides a reliable basis for the individual calculation of equipment costs and rental prices. In this thematic environment, the BGL can be used as a basis for contractual agreements in joint ventures.

Well-founded, neutral and superordinate

The CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT REGISTER is a superordinate catalogue published by the Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (HDB) and the Fachverband der Bauindustrie der Wirtschaftskammer Österreich. No specific brands or type designations are listed in the construction equipment list. The individual items contain average technical and economic values, supplemented by explanations of the design and equipment as well as the use in operation.

Tradition meets modernity

The CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT REGISTER (BGL) has been the industry standard for allocating the costs of construction machinery for decades. As early as the 1950s, German and Austrian construction associations developed equipment lists as the basis for internal and inter-company invoicing. Since BGL 2020, there has been a joint version of the Hauptverband der Bauindustrie e.V. and the Construction Office of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO). The current version was extensively revised in 2025.
